Teacher is Sentenced 30 Years in Prison for Agreeing to be Raped

Teacher of Naputa Secondary School, Tandahimba District, Mtwara Region, Ramadhani Nanyalika he has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for allowing unnatural interference.

Giving information to journalists, the Mtwara Regional Police Commander, Issa Suleiman said that the teacher in the past built a friendship at school with a 19-year-old fourth form student whose name has been withheld by starting to buy snacks at school and asking him to visit him at home.

He said that the teacher asked the student to visit him at home and when he went he started showing him dirty videos through a smart phone and later asked him to interfere with him against nature.

After the student was told that, he refused and said that he could not do the act, then the teacher started threatening him by telling him that if he does not do so, he will receive severe punishment from time to time at school as well as being expelled from school.

After the threats, the student had to carry out the act without his consent.

In another step, 19-year-old Bakari Katembe, a resident of Mdumbwe Village, has been sentenced to life in prison after sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl.

The suspect cheated the child by buying him sweets and then took him to his house and did the act.
