The High Court in Dar es Salaam has ordered an urgent investigation into the disappearance of three leaders from the Democratic Change Party’s Youth Council (BAVICHA) in Temeke.
This directive has led to intensified police efforts, culminating in the discovery of alarming developments involving the Democratic Change Party (CHADEMA).
Following the court’s ruling, credible intelligence revealed that CHADEMA leaders held an online meeting expressing dissatisfaction with the verdict. During this meeting, plans were allegedly discussed to mobilize supporters for protests and to form youth groups aimed at targeting police stations across Dar Es Salaam.

In response, the police have issued a stern warning against any attempts to incite violence or disrupt public order. They have made it clear that any actions undermining peace will be met with legal consequences.
Authorities are on high alert, prepared to manage any emerging security threats, and have urged the public to avoid engaging in activities that could lead to unrest.
The situation has been exacerbated by the recent arrest of several CHADEMA leaders, including party chairman Freeman Mbowe and youth wing chairman John Pambalu. These arrests, which took place amid plans for a protest in Mbeya, have intensified political tensions. The opposition has accused the government of a crackdown on dissent, further heating up the political climate in Tanzania.
