Tanzanian President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has made appointments to various boards in an effort to strengthen leadership and management in public institutions.
In this reshuffle, Dr. Hassan appointed David Chimbi as the Chairman of the Board of Tanzania Telecommunications Corporation Limited (TTCL).
Additionally, Ambassador Dr. Aziz Ponary Mlima has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of the National Ranching Company (NARCO), a position expected to enhance the country’s livestock sector. The President also appointed retired Major General Gaudence Salim Milanzi as the Chairman of the Board of the Tanzania Postal Corporation, a move aimed at improving efficiency in postal services.
In these changes, Ambassador Valentino Longino Mowola has been designated as the Chairman of the Board of the Universal Communications Service Access Fund (UCSAF), while retired Colonel Joseph Leon Simbakalia has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of the Engineering and Technology Institute (TEMDO).
Regarding the aviation sector, Professor Neema Mori has been reappointed as the Chairman of the Board of the National Airline (ATCL) for a second term, signifying her continued contribution to the development of the aviation industry in the country.
