The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has announced its sponsorship of 40.5m/- to the Ndondo Cup, in collaboration with Shadaka Sports Management.
Disclosing this in Dar es Salaam, on today, TRA Director for Taxpayer Services and Education, Richard Kayombo, further said that the significant contribution underscores the authority’s commitment to fostering community engagement through sports while promoting crucial tax education initiatives.
According to Kayombo,””The sponsorship, managed by Shadaka Sports Management, will support the renowned Ndondo Cup football tournament in the country,”.
The partnership task TRA to use the platform to inform the public about Electronic Tax Stamps (ETS) and the Hakiki Stempu campaign. The primary aim is to emphasize the necessity of scanning products before use to verify their safety, authenticity, and compliance with tax laws.

Expanding on this, he mentioned, “Collaborating with Ndondo Cup provides TRA a special chance to interact with the public meaningfully.
Using sports, we can educate a broader audience and encourage them to embrace Electronic Tax Stamps as a modern solution for ensuring product authenticity.”
Through sports, we can reach a wider audience to educate and convince them to appreciate the latest technology solution of Electronic Tax Stamps in ensuring the authenticity of products.
Moreover, we believe that through this initiative, we can make a significant impact on consumer behavior and contribute to the broader goal of enhancing tax compliance across the country.
TRA calls on users of products with Electronic Tax Stamps (ETS) to download the Stamp Verification app and scan those products before use.
This serves as a means to safeguard health and ensure accurate tax revenue collection by the government.
