President Samia Suluhu Hassan has conveyed a congratulatory message to Russian President Vladimir Putin on his re-election. The message shared through her official Instagram account, expressed Samia’s warm congratulations on behalf of the Government and the People of the United Republic of Tanzania to President Putin for securing another term as the President of the Russian Federation.

President Samia, also expressed eagerness to further enhance the bilateral relations between Tanzania and Russia through continued collaboration.

Tanzania and Russia  since establishing ties in 1961,have shared a rich history of cooperation and collaboration across various fields, contributing to the development and prosperity of both countries. The bond forged between the two nations has transcended geopolitical shifts and global dynamics, standing as a testament to the strength of their enduring friendship.

The two  have shared and benefited from each other  in economic cooperation. Over the years, both countries have engaged in trade agreements, investment ventures, and joint projects in sectors such as mining, energy, agriculture, and infrastructure development.
