The Chairperson of the Youth Wing of ACT Wazalendo, Abdul Nondo, is reportedly missing after being allegedly abducted this morning by unknown individuals while traveling from Kigoma.
He was part of the national leaders leading campaigns in the western regions of Tanzania.

Witnesses of the incident reported a struggle during what is believed to be the abduction, which resulted in Nondo’s small bag falling to the ground.

The Dar es Salaam Regional Publicity Secretary, Monalisa Ndala, and the National Officer for Campaigns and Events, Wiston Mogha, arrived at the scene early and quickly identified Nondo as the missing person. They recognized his clothing found inside the dropped bag, as well as his notebook.
A statement released today, December 1, 2024, by Mbarala Maharagande, the Deputy Secretary for Human Rights and Citizen Representation of ACT Wazalendo, confirmed that the party is closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates to the public.
The party has also called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Wambura to immediately investigate the matter and ensure Abdul Nondo’s safe release without delay.
