All agencies under the Prime Minister’s Office have been assigned the responsibility of educating the public about their roles to enhance understanding of their duties.
This directive was issued in Dodoma by Engineer Cyprian Luhemeja, the Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office overseeing Labor, Youth, Employment, and People with Disabilities.
During a special meeting to welcome Mr. Abdul-Razaq Badru, the newly appointed Director General of the Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF) by President Samia Suluhu Hassan, Eng Luhemeja stressed the importance of continuous education, particularly in social security matters. He emphasized that a better grasp of social security education could prevent individuals from engaging in unproductive investments.
Eng Luhemeja pledged full cooperation from the ministry to support the new PSSSF DG in executing his duties effectively. Mr. Badru, in turn, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by President Samia and vowed to work collaboratively to ensure the Fund’s success.
Highlighting the importance of embracing technology, Mr. Badru affirmed PSSSF’s commitment to utilizing information and communication technology (ICT) to provide timely and improved services to its members. He assured that specific educational programs would be conducted to enhance members’ understanding of PSSSF and its services, with a focus on engaging all stakeholders effectively.
