Young Africans (Yanga) Football Club, through its spokesperson Haji Manara, has confirmed a match against the SECAFA Kagame Cup champions Red Arrows from Zambia. The match is set to take place on August 4, 2024, at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Speaking to the press at the club’s headquarters today, July 29, 2024, Manara acknowledged that the match between Yanga and the Kagame Cup champions will be a unique event. He urged the team’s fans to purchase tickets early to witness the exciting match, which will also feature the unveiling of new players and the technical bench for the upcoming league season, including the Tanzania Mainland Premier League.

Additionally, Manara advised fans to buy tickets early to avoid the last-minute rush.
On his part, the head of the communications department, Ali Kamwe, invited fans to the club’s headquarters on Saturday, July 3, 2024, to participate in a marathon, which will be followed by a beef soup feast as part of the celebrations leading up to Mwananchi Day.
Yanga has been celebrating Mwananchi Day for approximately five league seasons. On this day, players and the technical bench are officially introduced to fans and members, and a friendly match with a guest team is held.
