As tickets for the round seating for entry into the climax of the Simba Day festival on Saturday at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, themed ‘Ubaya Ubwela,’ become available, new players Joshua Mutale and Steven Mukwala have told the fans of the team that they will witness a different team from the one they saw last season.
The stars said that this season, Simba has players who play clean and entertaining football, with great ability, enthusiasm, and strength, along with a top-quality technical bench with good coaching techniques under Coach Fadlu Davids.
The players have urged fans to come to the stadium to see entertaining football and guaranteed victories.
The squad arrived yesterday in Dar es Salaam from Egypt, where they had been training for nearly three weeks in preparation for the new season of competitions.

The team’s new striker, Mukwala, said their last match showed everything because they played exactly as their coach always wanted them to, and they succeeded due to being fit, unlike in the previous two games.
“The last match showed everything; it was tougher than all the other games we played. The team from Saudi Arabia was not easy, but we fought hard and managed to win. I promise Simba members and fans that they will see a very good game every time we play. They will see something different from what they saw last season. We know what they want, and we will give them what they need,” said the Ugandan striker who was signed from Ghana’s Asante Kotoko.
In the last match, on Monday night, Simba played against Al Adalah from Saudi Arabia at the New Suez Canal Stadium in that country and won 2-1, with the goals scored by Mukwala and Mutale.
Furthermore, Mutale said that they are currently at 90% physical fitness, which contributed to their victory in their last match. He stated that they are now ready for Simba Day and the new season of competitions, although Coach Fadlu is still making minor adjustments.
“We are now at 90% of physical fitness. The training was good and tough. Our third game has shown that we are almost complete. We were defending well, running quickly, staying in the right positions at the right times, and sometimes making long passes quickly while running towards the opponent’s area, which confused the opponents. Even the second goal I scored was made in that manner.
I believe we are now ready for Simba Day and the new season. I know our fans will welcome us well due to what we are bringing to the stadium,” said Mutale, the new winger signed from Zambia’s Power Dynamos.
As preparations continue for Simba Day, where the team will play against APR of Rwanda, the second-round tickets have sold out, with only VIP B, VIP C, and orange tickets remaining, which are also running low.
The club’s Communications Manager, Ahmed Ally, has urged fans to buy tickets for these sections, as besides the round tickets, Platnum and VIP A tickets have also sold out.
