Russian President Vladimir Putin visited military headquarters in the Kursk region, where he received an operational briefing from Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov on the latest developments in the region.
According to Gerasimov, Russian forces have made significant advances, liberating 86% of Kursk’s territory that was previously held by Ukrainian forces.

The Ukrainian military has reportedly suffered 67,000 casualties, along with the loss of 7,000 military vehicles on the Kursk front.
Russian military officials further stated that Ukraine’s strategic plans for Kursk have failed, marking a major setback for Kyiv’s military objectives in the region.
The visit highlights Moscow’s continued focus on military operations in border areas, reinforcing its control over strategically contested territories.
