TEMESA has stated that they are closely monitoring weather reports provided by the National Meteorological Authority to ensure the safety of all ferry passengers. They emphasise the importance of passengers following the instructions of the ferry crew at all times to ensure their safety.

In their statement, TEMESA also apologizes to all passengers for the inconvenience caused by the suspension of ferry services due to the cyclone. They emphasise that this step has been taken to protect the lives and property of the passengers, and ferry services will remain suspended until further notice from the Meteorological Authority.

One of the ferries that has suspended its services is MV Kilindoni, which was scheduled to depart from Mafia to Nyamisati at seven o’clock last night. However, due to rough sea conditions caused by strong winds, the ferries have been waiting for improved weather and further instructions from the Meteorological Authority.

This situation highlights the importance of taking safety precautions during severe weather conditions such as cyclones. TEMESA emphasises that passenger safety is their top priority and they are working closely with the relevant authorities to ensure the resumption of ferry services as soon as the weather conditions improve.

It is advisable for passengers and the general public to follow the instructions and information provided by the authorities during this period of adverse weather conditions in order to avoid risks and ensure their safety during travel.
