Despite Moscow‘s warnings, some Western nations have allowed Kiev to use their weaponry to target locations within Russia. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto expressed at a NATO ministerial meeting in Prague that while NATO is gearing up for a prolonged conflict with Russia, there remains a possibility to avert it.
NATO member states have authorized Kiev to utilize Western-supplied arms for strikes deep inside Russia. Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg affirmed Ukraine’s right to self-defense, including the right to target legitimate military sites within Russia.
These measures are being taken in anticipation of a long-lasting conflict, as quoted by Hungarian newspaper Magyar Nemzet from Szijjarto. Szijjarto stated, “The war express has left the second-to-last station,” raising the question of whether there is still a chance to halt it.
