The Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Philip Mpango, and his spouse, Mrs. Mbonimpaye Mpango, participated in the Easter Celebration Service at the Catholic Church of the Virgin Mary Mother of the Holy Blood of Jesus – Kisasa in Dodoma Region on March 31, 2024.
After attending the service, the Vice President delivered Easter greetings and encouraged Tanzanians to use the Easter holiday as a time to understand that true victory requires sacrifice for others, families, the less fortunate, and the nation as a whole.
He emphasized the importance of sacrificial dedication in fulfilling responsibilities diligently and working hard for the progress of the country and future generations. The Vice President highlighted the significance of using Easter as an opportunity to combat selfishness and ensure the provision of justice and services without corruption.
Furthermore, he called on leaders and government officials to exemplify sacrificial service to the people. He stressed the need for Tanzanians to maintain reverence for God and preserve the world’s heritage bestowed by the Almighty, including environmental conservation.
The service, led by Father Vedastus Ngowi in collaboration with Parish Priest Sostenes Ndendya, was a significant moment of reflection and celebration for all attendees.”
