Xi Jinping officially welcomed his friend ,Russian President Vladimir Putin to China as both leaders seek to bolster strategic ties in a 2-day official visit.
The two leaders have signed a joint statement to enhance the comprehensive strategic partnership between their countries at a summit that portrayed their relationship as a stabilizing influence .

Speaking at a joint press conference on Thursday, Xi stated: “China is ready to collaboratively achieve the development and revitalization of our individual nations, and cooperate to uphold fairness and justice globally.”
Xi,also declared that China-Russian relations have “withstood the challenges of a shifting global landscape” and have made “positive contributions to upholding global strategic stability,” as reported by China’s Foreign Ministry.
The Russian leader on his part , enumerated the countless support the two countries have exchanged over the years pledging that Russia will devise plans to deepen its energy ,cooperation developing logistical corridors and welcome Chinse Car makers into the Russian market
Trade played a significant role in the discussions, with Xi underscoring that bilateral trade had surged by 170 percent in the last decade, with further potential for growth.
Putin also mentioned that the robust economic relations have produced positive outcomes, with approximately 90% of all goods payments being made in rubles and yuan.
Putin also used the occasion to thank Xi ,for his efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine but criticized the United Nations and the G20, stating that they needed to be depoliticized, and mentioned that Russia and China “would collaborate to enhance security in the Asia-Pacific.”
Vladimir Putin ,also hinted that he and Xi will engage in informal discussions later on Thursday evening regarding the conflict in Ukraine. The talks are anticipated to involve Russia’s recently appointed Defense Minister Andrey Belousov, along with his predecessor Sergei Shoigu, who currently serves as the secretary of Russia’s Security Council.

This meeting marks the fourth face-to-face encounter between Putin and Xi since Russia’s incursion into Ukraine, following their declaration of an unrestricted partnership at the Winter Olympics in Beijing.

This year marks the 75th anniversary since the establishment of the Russian-Chinese diplomatic relations. The two, have over the years built a brand new road of neighboring great power, mutual respect , harmonious co-existence, and a win win cooperation despite the intense rivalry from the West.
The 2-day visit ,marks Vladimir Putin’s symbolic first trip abroad after he was sworn in for his fifth term as Russian president . The Kremlin has stated that the visit is at the invitation of Xi Jinping, underscoring the growing proximity between the two leaders .
