The President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, has appointed his son, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, as the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF).
He replaces General Wilson Mbasu Mbadi, who has been appointed as the Minister of Trade in the recent reshuffle of the Cabinet lineup.
Some appointed record of General Muhozi before Chief of Defense Forces level.
January 2017, Muhoozi was appointed as a special advisor to the president. His promotion and relocation to State House increased speculation in Ugandan media that Kainerugaba was being groomed to succeed his father as the next president of Uganda.
2020: President Museveni reappointed him as the commander of the Special Forces Command (SFC) to succeed Major General James Birungi. He continued to serve as a senior advisor to the president on special operations.
2021: Before June 24, he was appointed as the Commander of Ground Forces, taking over from Lieutenant General Peter Elwelu who was appointed as the Deputy Chief of Defence Forces.
There is noticeably a bundle to know about this. I assume you made certain nice points in features also.
