President Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed three officials to head Tanzania Agriculture Research Institute (TARI), Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF), and Higher Education Loan Students’ Board (HELSB) respectively.
A press statement issued by the State House’s Communication Directorate on Tuesday said the Head of State has appointed Dr. Thomas Bwana as the new Director General of TARI.
Prior to his new role, Mr. Bwana was working as an assistant director in the Vice President’s Office (VPO) responsible for Environment (Biodiversity Conservation).
The appointee is taking over from Dr. Geofrey Mkamilo, whose tenure at the office has expired. President Samia has also appointed Dr. Abdul-Razaq Badru as the new PSSSF Director General.
He is replacing CPA Hosea Kishimba, who will be assigned to other duties, according to the statement.
Dr. Bill Kiwia goes to fill the vacuum left by Dr. Badru at HESLB as the Board’s new DG.
