Last Week, News Emerged About P-Square Breaking Up for the Third Time, a Report Confirmed by Rude Boy (Paul) in an Interview with City FM (Lagos).
In the interview, Rude Boy claimed that he has been accused of saying that Peter is just a dancer and that he himself is the singer, since he wrote all of P-Square’s songs.
This claim reportedly made Peter feel bad and suggested that Peter was the reason the group broke up because he didn’t want the group to continue.
“The problem started with the song ‘Eja Jo’ featuring T.I., which is why that song has not been successful to this day,” Rude said on City FM Radio.

Now, Mr. P (Peter) has publicly responded to Rude Boy (Paul) through an open letter, stating that he is hurt by how Rude Boy has been promoting himself as being 99% responsible for P-Square’s work, both in writing and singing, while downplaying the contributions he made.
“You have been doing everything to make the fans hate me, but you know what? Just know that they will never hate me and instead, they will hate us both because we have disappointed them and let them down.”
“I hope you are now happy. I wish you all the best, and for those who believe these false narratives and leave their comments on my page, I understand because you have been fed lies for a long time. Please allow me to make my music in peace,” said Mr. P.
P-Square first broke up in 2016, reformed in 2021, and broke up again in 2024.
