Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Hon. Dr. Doto Biteko, has stated that the Sixth Phase Government is committed to improving various economic and social services, including immigration services, to accelerate the development of the people.

Dr. Biteko made these remarks on January 11, 2025, after laying the foundation stone for the Immigration Department building located in Micheweni District, Pemba, as part of the celebrations marking the 61st Anniversary of Zanzibar Revolution, which will culminate on January 12, 2025.

He emphasized that both Zanzibar and Tanzanians have every reason to be proud of the development achieved over the 61 years since the historic Zanzibar Revolution, noting that various projects have been implemented compared to previous periods.

“You will agree with me that both governments continue to work hard to bring economic, political, and social development. These developments are the fruits of the leaders and founders, Late Abeid Amani Karume and Late Father of the Nation, Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere,” Dr. Biteko said.
