So far, the cause of the fire has not been identified, although among the stalls, one was found with a charcoal stove still burning.
On his part, the Deputy Assistant Fire Operations Officer for Morogoro Region, Daniel Myalla, said they are investigating to determine the cause of the fire and have managed to control it from causing harm to other stalls in the area.
This is not the first time the Msamvu area has been hit by a fire incident. It should be remembered that about five years ago, a fuel tanker exploded, leading to a large number of deaths and others suffering serious injuries.
