The coffins of 15 victims who lost their lives in the tragic collapse of a building at Kariakoo market have arrived at Mnazi Mmoja grounds, where a farewell ceremony is set to take place.
The coffins were brought to the grounds at 1:34 PM, just seven minutes after Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa arrived at the venue at 1:27 PM. They were transported in several military vehicles, led by an ambulance with a wailing siren.
Upon arrival, the coffins were carried by soldiers in a special parade and placed at a designated area. Each coffin was accompanied by a single chair at its table, making a total of 15 chairs.
As the coffins were brought into the venue, grieving family members and mourners were overwhelmed with sorrow, crying uncontrollably.
