Despite successfully winning the Premier League title this season with three games remaining, Yanga coach Miguel Gamondi has stated that they have not yet achieved their goals for the season until they win the FA Cup.
The coach has reminded his players of their plans since the beginning of the season.
Gamondi emphasized that they need to keep fighting and win the FA Cup to fulfill the objectives they set at the start of the 2023/2024 season.

“We haven’t finished the season yet. We had three competitions: the Champions League, the Premier League, and the FA Cup.
For me, although we have met our goals in two of the competitions, I still want to see us win the FA Cup,” said Gamondi.
The Argentine coach mentioned that although they were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League, they reached the goals they set before entering that major African competition.
“Our main objective was to reach the group stage, which we did, and we went further to play in the quarter-finals.
In the Premier League, we also succeeded in winning the championship.
Now we are left with the FA Cup, which was also one of our goals,” said Gamondi.
Currently, Yanga is preparing for the FA Cup semi-final match against Ihefu FC (Singida Black Stars), which will be played on Sunday at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium, Arusha.
Gamondi stated that preparations for this crucial match have already begun and urged his players to focus their minds and thoughts on the game.
“This won’t be an easy match Since It’s a knockout game, and small mistakes can cost us and prevent us from achieving our goal.
I have spoken with the players, and we are continuing to prepare for the match,” said Gamondi.
He expressed his desire for the match to be decided within the regular 90 minutes and believes his players can accomplish this if they follow his instructions carefully, as they always do.
