President Samia Suluhu Hassan has doubled her goal motivation package for Simba and Young Africans from 5m/- to 10m/- per goal.
This has been disclosed by the Minister for Culture, Arts and Sports, Dr Damas Ndumbaro in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday.
He announced this during a meeting with officials from the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) as well as Simba and Yanga management.
The new package will come into effective from the upcoming CAF Champions League (CAF CL) quarter-final matches.
“Even President Samia Suluhu Hassan is ready to support these teams to reach far in the champions league…she has doubled her goal motivation package from 5m/- to 10m/-.
“She wants these teams to do well and reach in the finals…in order to achieve this, we should all support our envoys,” Ndumbaro said.
Simba are gearing up to face Al Ahly of Egypt in the first leg CAF CL quarters at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on March 29th.
For Yanga, they are rehearsing to welcome Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa at the same venue on March 30th.
