Selcom Microfinance Bank Tanzania has officially appointed Leonard Mususa (FCPA/T) as its new Board Chairperson, effective October 31, 2024.
The announcement underscores the bank’s commitment to strong governance and leadership.
Mr. Mususa brings an extensive professional background, with over 36 years of experience, notably at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he served as the Country Senior Partner for Tanzania for 14 years before retiring in 2014. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and the National Board of Accountants and Auditors in Tanzania, he is highly regarded in corporate governance, banking, and strategic business development.
Currently, Mr. Mususa chairs the boards of Tanzania Breweries Plc and Reliance Insurance Company (Tanzania) Ltd. He has also served on boards of major companies, including NMB Plc and Nation Media Group Plc in Kenya.
His contributions extend to national policy development, including his role as a member of the Presidential Commission on Tax Reforms, appointed by Tanzanian President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan. He is a founding member of the CEO Roundtable of Tanzania and has contributed to shaping trade and industry policies through various leadership roles.
