The government has reported significant progress in its key projects and programs aimed at boosting the economy, enhancing the well-being of citizens, and developing human capital across the country.

During the evaluation of the National Development Plan for 2023/24 in Dodoma, Minister of State in the President’s Office (Planning and Investment) Prof Kitila Mkumbo highlighted the advancements made in various initiatives.

Key highlights include:

– The Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) project:
– The Dar es Salaam to Morogoro stretch is at 98.84% completion.
– The Morogoro-Makutopora stretch is at 96.35% completion.
– The Mwanza-Isaka stretch has reached 52.69% completion.

– Railway infrastructure:
– Construction progress on locomotive engines and the MGR Kaliua-Mpanda railway.
