Deputy Permanent Secretary For Foreign Affairs Inspects Development Projects In The UK

Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Said Shaib Mussa, who also chairs the Ministry’s Projects Committee, inspected development projects located in London, United Kingdom from July 14 to 18, 2024.

During the visit, the Committee inspected office buildings, residential quarters, and government land. Additionally, they held consultations with the embassy and local construction and investment experts on the optimal ways to develop thesegovernment properties.

 

As part of the visit, the Committee also handed over one refurbished house to an embassy staff member, with renovations completed to 100%, thereby reducing the government’s rental expenses previously incurred.

The visit is part of the Ministry’s specific plan to develop its foreign properties and assets, as outlined by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Hon. January Makamba (MP), during the presentation of the Ministry’s Budget Estimates for the fiscal year 2024/2025 in Dodoma in May 2024.
