The District Commissioner of Kisarawe, Petro Magoti, together with the Security and Defense Committee, has donated 300 bags of cement to two centers providing Islamic religious education, including the center located at Masjid Salaf Mosque in Kiluvya Madukani.
It is noteworthy that this action comes just days after he ordered the center to temporarily suspend its training and send more than 90 children back to their parents until dormitories are built and special permits are obtained to conduct the training.
This decision followed the discovery that the children were being accommodated in a small area within the mosque, with some sleeping outside, and the cooking and surrounding conditions posing significant risks.
Magoti has donated 150 bags of cement to Masjid Salaf Mosque and another 150 bags to Masjid Abdulaziz Ashlak Mosque, where similar unsafe conditions were found, leading to the directive to return the children to their homes within 24 hours.

“I am pleased that the directive was implemented within 24 hours. I have decided to contribute to the construction and will assist in all processes related to the land deed and the registration of the center,” he said.
The center’s leader, Sheikh Abdul Hamid, speaking in front of the Coast Region’s Sheikh, Sheikh Khamis Mtupa, thanked DC Magoti for donating the cement and appealed to President Samia Suluhu Hassan and all touched Tanzanians to contribute whatever they can to facilitate the construction of a five-story dormitory so that the children can return and continue their education.
“We appeal to our mother (President Samia) through this initiative to support us. We have an engineer who requires 26 million Tanzanian shillings to start the construction. We ask our mother to at least provide us with these 26 million so the engineer can begin the construction, and we also appeal to all Tanzanians to contribute, as a society cannot be civilized without people going through faith-based education.”
Contributions can be sent via Tigo Pesa to 0719 380 268 (Name: Abdallah Samudu).
