Minister Kombo Holds Meeting with Tanzanian Embassy Staff in Zimbabwe

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Hon. Mahmoud Thabit Kombo (MP), held a meeting with staff members of the Tanzanian Embassy in Zimbabwe. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Ministers’ conference and focused on discussing the ongoing diplomatic duties being carried out by the embassy staff.

“The government has confidence in you, which is why you were appointed to this mission. It is important that you work diligently and effectively to achieve significant results for the benefit of our nation,” stated Minister Kombo.

He further emphasized that the Ministry expects Tanzanian embassies abroad to actively implement economic diplomacy and to submit reports with tangible results, particularly in the sectors of trade, investment, and tourism.

Additionally, Minister Kombo visited various development projects owned by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania in Zimbabwe, including residential houses for embassy staff, commercial residential properties, the embassy office building, and a seven-acre plot of land belonging to the embassy.

Minister Kombo informed the Tanzanian Ambassador to Zimbabwe that his visit to these projects was successful, as he observed the embassy’s commitment to its duties and its efforts to strengthen cooperation with the friendly nation.
