The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Saturday, September 28, 2024, via its official X account, that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has been killed, stating, “Hassan Nasrallah will no longer threaten the world.”
This claim follows a series of airstrikes in Beirut that the IDF asserts were aimed at Nasrallah and other high-ranking Hezbollah officials. The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported that Israel confirmed the deaths of additional senior members of the Iran-backed group, including the commander responsible for the southern region.
According to the IDF, the airstrikes targeted a Hezbollah command center believed to be located underground beneath a residential building in the Dahieh area of Beirut.

Reports indicate that the attacks were carried out while senior commanders of Hezbollah were engaged in operations from Dahieh, a known stronghold for the militant organization.
As of now, Hezbollah has not released any official statement to either confirm or deny the reported death of Hassan Nasrallah.
