Tanzanian swimmer Sophia Latiff was unable to advance in the Women’s 50m Freestyle event at the 2024 Olympics, finishing last in Heat 5 with a time of 28.42 seconds. The heat was won by Jovana Kuljaca of Montenegro.
As a result of these outcomes, Sophia Latiff, along with fellow swimmer Collins Saliboko and judoka Andrew Mlugu, will not advance to the semi-finals. Tanzania’s hopes for an Olympic medal in 2024 now rest with four remaining athletes.
