The Morogoro Regional Commissioner, Hon. Adam Kighoma Malima, has called on Division Officers and Ward Executives to take responsibility and work diligently in their respective areas to bring about development for the citizens and the nation as a whole.
Hon. Malima issued this directive while opening a capacity-building training session for Division Officers and Ward Executives of Morogoro Region, held at the Mbarak Mwinshehe Hall in Morogoro Municipality.
“What I expect from you is creativity, dedication, and a clear understanding of what you are doing, as well as effective supervision of projects,” emphasized Hon. Malima.
He also stated the importance of these officers understanding their responsibilities thoroughly and working with dedication, commitment, and proper supervision of development projects for the broader national interest, rather than for personal gain.

Additionally, the leader mentioned that one of the challenges facing these officers is a lack of creativity in their work. He urged Division Officers and Ward Executives to be innovative in addressing the challenges within their areas of responsibility.
In another instance, Hon. Malima called on these government officials to be diligent and supervise development projects, as it is their duty to ensure that projects are completed on time and with the required quality.
For his part, the Representative of the Permanent Secretary, President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (TAMISEMI), Mr. Simoni Maganga, stated that the training aims to build the capacity of Division Officers and Ward Executives to enhance efficiency in service delivery to citizens.
He added that the training began on June 6, 2023, in the regions of Songwe, Njombe, Katavi, and Rukwa, with eight regions remaining where training will take place in the 2024/2025 financial year.
