Husband Kills Wife, Then Commits Suicide Amid Police Manhunt

Violence has surged in Mwanza Region following a tragic incident in which a woman, Christina Gervas, was murdered by her husband, Fednand Mabula. The gruesome act took place while they were asleep in their bedroom.

According to a statement from the Mwanza Regional Police Commander, Wilbroad Mutafungwa, the attack was the result of a prolonged issue of jealousy between the couple. After committing the murder, Fednand Mabula subsequently took his own life. This decision came in the wake of a vigorous police manhunt to capture him, which involved searching multiple locations throughout Mwanza Region.

In a separate but equally disturbing case, Benjamin Masanye is being pursued by the police for the murder of his wife, Veronica Simbila. Reports reveal that Benjamin forcibly entered the home of his mother-in-law, Limi Nyanda, where Veronica was staying. He then proceeded to attack her in her bedroom using a sharp weapon, resulting in severe injuries.

Commander Mutafungwa explained that after the murder, Benjamin contacted Veronica’s guardian to confess his crime. He stated that he had killed Veronica because her family had refused to allow him to live with her, leading to a tragic and violent confrontation.
