The U.S. is said to be getting ready to take strong actions against the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Karim Khan, along with the judges and staff working on the case.

A senior Israeli official noted that these measures are similar to sanctions that were previously placed on violent settlers in the West Bank, which prevented them from using credit cards in Israeli banks because of concerns about potential consequences from the U.S. Treasury.

“We will bring the court to its knees and then negotiate the closure of the case,” a senior Israeli source said. “Our appeal will give them a way to climb down from the tree top they ventured to.”
