Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, who is currently in The Vatican, has gifted Pope Francis a a huge golden cross made with Tanzanite among other unique handmade handcraft presents she came with from Tanzania.
The universal symbol of the Christian faith, the cross represents Christ’s Victory over death. “tree of life” that brings hope to humankind.
The cross might be thought of as a gruesome sight. However, for the Catholic faith , it is inspiring. To see Jesus on the cross is a reminder of the challenge he endured for the Christendom, and also a reminder for them to remain Holy and act on his principles, teachings and love for mankind at all times.
In photos shared by The Vatican media, Samia is seen handing the Pope a gift inspired by the Zanzibar door design.
