A tragic accident involving the Dodoma Jiji Football Club has left at least 37 players and staff injured after their team bus veered off the road and plunged into a river.
The incident occurred on February 10, 2025, along the route between Nangurunkuru and Somanga.
Confirming the accident, the team’s Secretary-General, Fortunatus Johnson, stated that all those on board sustained injuries, mostly from shattered glass. Fortunately, medical teams responded swiftly, and the injured were rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment.
