Retail prices for petrol and diesel in Tanzania have decreased at the Dar Es Salaam and Tanga ports this November, offering some relief to consumers amid fluctuating global fuel costs.
According to the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA), the new retail prices at Dar es Salaam port are set at TZS 2,943 per liter for petrol, down from October’s TZS 3,011, and TZS 2,844 for diesel, compared to TZS 2,846 last month. Kerosene prices remain steady at TZS 2,943 per liter.
At Tanga port, petrol now costs TZS 2,948, down from TZS 3,016, and diesel has also slightly decreased to TZS 2,855 from TZS 2,859. Kerosene remains unchanged at TZS 2,989 per liter.
However, prices at Mtwara port have seen a minor increase. Petrol now costs TZS 3,015, up by TZS 1, and diesel has risen to TZS 2,916 from TZS 2,862.

Wholesale prices for Mtwara have also seen adjustments, with petrol priced at TZS 2,811 and diesel at TZS 2,712, reflecting slight changes since last month.
These price adjustments come amid ongoing discussions on fuel supply strategies and market stabilization measures to balance consumer needs with import costs.
