Minister Urges Efficiency in Youth, Employment Coordination

The Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office for Labour, Youth, Employment, and Persons with Disabilities, Hon. Ridhiwani Jakaya Kikwete, has urged the management and staff of his office to increase efficiency in coordinating youth and employment activities in the country to meet the expectations of the youth in fostering national development.

Hon. Ridhiwani stated that the goal of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan is to ensure that the youth, who are the nation’s workforce, secure jobs generated by various sectors in the country.

He made these remarks upon arriving at the office located in the Government City of Mtumba for the first time after being sworn in at the State House, Dar es Salaam, on July 26, 2024.

Furthermore, Hon. Ridhiwani Kikwete said that the citizens, who are predominantly youth, have high expectations from the ministry, which oversees various areas including youth development, employment, the welfare of persons with disabilities, workers, employers, and retirees.

Additionally, Hon. Ridhiwani Kikwete expressed his gratitude to President Samia Suluhu Hassan for appointing him as Minister in this office and promised to work closely with the staff to achieve the goals and plans intended by the government in serving the citizens.
