President Samia Suluhu Hassan has inaugurated the construction of new buildings for Mzumbe University’s new campus in Morogoro Region. She praised the university for continuously producing various experts who serve in the government and other sectors of the country, citing the example of the Secretary-General of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi, Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi, who studied at Mzumbe.
President Samia also commended the university’s leadership for utilizing internal financial resources to initiate the construction of these buildings.

She mentioned that this construction project will gain additional support through the HIT education project implemented by the World Bank (WB) and promised to continue seeking more funds to ensure the rapid completion of the buildings.
She stated that the ongoing construction at various locations of the Mzumbe University campus has numerous benefits, including improving student accommodations and academic buildings. She assured that all necessary infrastructure will continue to be developed.
Additionally, she expressed her satisfaction with the plan to have a special dormitory for housing various government leaders, such as Permanent Secretaries and Directors, as part of the new initiative aimed at enhancing their roles.
