Over 50 countries to deliberate job creation in Dar

The Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) announced on Wednesday that all preparations are now in place for the 7th Africa Social Partners Summit (ASPS) focusing on social issues and job creation, with the participation of over 50 nations.

Scheduled for February 7th and 8th in Dar es Salaam, the summit will be inaugurated by Vice President Dr. Philip Mpango.

Suzanne Ndomba-Doran, the Chief Executive Officer of ATE, detailed the summit’s significance for Tanzania and Africa, addressing critical topics such as technological advancement and the future of employment.

“We will delve into various subjects, including skills development, industrial growth, and job creation across Africa,” she stated during a press briefing in Dar es Salaam.

This year’s event is organized in collaboration with the International Organization of Employers (IOE) and with the support of the European Union. It will bring together representatives from companies, National Employers Organizations, trade unions, professionals, international organizations, and youth representatives.

The summit will feature notable speakers such as Ms. Fanfan Rwanyindo Kayirangwa (Assistant Director-General, ILO), Mr. Roberto Suarez Santos (Secretary-General, IOE), and other distinguished guests.
