Sports play a vital role in enhancing health and unity among public servants, fostering motivation for increased productivity and patriotism for the nation.
This statement was made by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Hon. Dr. Doto Biteko, during the launch of the Sports Federation of Ministries and Government Departments (SHIMIWI) competitions currently taking place at Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro.
Speaking to athletes from the Ministry of Lands, Housing, and Human Settlements, the Director of Administration and Human Resources Management at the Ministry, Mr. Seushi Mburi, expressed appreciation for the significant efforts made by the Ministry’s leaders in the ongoing competitions, congratulating them for advancing to the Top 16 stage.
The netball and football teams have both reached the Top 16 in these competitions.

He also commended the rope skipping players for their fierce competition, urging them to prepare adequately for better performance in the upcoming season.
This year’s SHIMIWI competition theme is “Sports Enhance Work Performance, Participate in Local Government Elections for Sustainable Nation Building.”
