The Tanzania Electrical, Mechanical and Services Agency (TEMESA) has issued a statement to Ferry Users at Magogoni Kigamboni and the general public, informing them that the MV. KIGAMBONI ferry service in that area has ceased operations starting from early morning today, Friday, June 7, 2024.
The MV. KIGAMBONI ferry service has been suspended to undergo major repairs to ensure that when it resumes service, it will be in optimal condition and safety.
TEMESA has advised passengers, especially those with vehicles, to use alternative routes such as the Mwalimu Nyerere Bridge to avoid congestion at the ferry area until the MV. KIGAMBONI ferry resumes operations. Ferry services in the area will continue to be provided as usual using the MV. KAZI ferry and Sea Taxis.

“TEMESA apologizes to all passengers for any inconvenience caused during the period when the MV. KIGAMBONI ferry will be out of service and reminds them to continue following the instructions of the ferry operators while using the ferries to ensure safety,” said the statement.
