Tanzania has praised the Ethiopian government for making history in Dodoma by being the first country to construct embassy offices and residential buildings for diplomats in the city, urging other nations to follow this example.
Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mbarouk Nassor Mbarouk, expressed these compliments to Ethiopia’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Birtukan Ayano.

The two officials laid a foundation stone for the construction project on behalf of their respective governments during a ceremony held in Dodoma.
“The laying of this foundation stone is a clear testament to the strengthened diplomatic cooperation between Tanzania and Ethiopia, which dates back to the time of our founding fathers, the late Mwalimu Julius Nyerere and the late Haile Selassie,” said Ambassador Mbarouk.
He also highlighted the importance of boosting trade between the two countries, noting that the current level of trade does not reflect the strong relations between Tanzania and Ethiopia.
