Jeshi la Polisi Nchini limesema kuwa tangu Juni 22, 2024 kupitia baadhi ya vyombo mbalimbali vya habari ikiwemo mitandao ya kijamii kulionekana tangazo linalosambazwa lenye kichwa cha habari kilichosomeka “KUFUNGA BIASHARA ZETU”.
Akitoa taarifa hiyo leo jijini Arusha Msemaji wa Jeshi la Polisi Nchini Naibu kamishna wa Polisi DCP David Misime amesema tangazo hilo lina ujumbe unaosema “Wafanyabiashara wote wa viunga vya Kariakoo mnatakiwa kufunga biashara zenu zote ikiwemo maduka yenu, ofisi zetu na chochote unachokifanya kuanzia Jumatatu ya Juni 24, 2024 bila ukomo hadi pale changamoto zetu zote za kibiashara zitakapoweza kutatuliwa”.
DCP Misime amesema kuwa Mbali na tangazo hilo kutokujulikana limetolewa na nani, amebainisha kuwa limeenda mbali zaidi hadi kukiuka sheria za nchi kwa kutangaza vitisho kuwa; “Wafanyabiashara watakaokaidi agizo ambalo lilisema kuwa mshale wa jicho utakuwa haki yake”.

Ameendeleaa kusema kuwa Uongozi wa Umoja wa Wafanyabiashara wa soko la Kariakoo wameeleza kuwa tangazo hilo halijatoka kwao na hata uongozi wao ngazi ya Taifa hawajathibitisha tangazo hilo kutoka kwao.
Vile vile amesema Jeshi la Polisi nchini linapenda kuwahakikishia wafanyabiashara na wananchi wote kwa ujumla ambao wanafanya shughuli zao za biashara na kupata mahitaji katika soko hilo kuwa ulinzi utaimarishwa ipasavyo katika maeneo yote huku likabainisha kuwa wakati walio kula njama, kuandaa na kusambaza tangazo hilo wakitafutwa.
Jeshi la Polisi Nchini limewaomba wananchi kuendelea na shughuli zao kama kawaida bila hofu.
Pia Msemaji wa Jeshi hilo amesema Jeshi la Polisi linatoa wito kwa mtu yeyote mwenye changamoto zenye kuhitaji utatuzi afuate utaratibu wa kuzifikisha kwenye mamkaka husika ili zifanyiwe kazi na sio kuvunja sheria kwa kutoa vitisho na kulazimisha wengine kutekeleza/kufanya yale ambayo hawakubaliani na waliotoa tangazo hilo.
