The Police Force has initiated an investigation into the incident involving the body of a child, Telesphore Mwakalinga (4), who was found on the night of Wednesday, July 18, 2024, in the area of House 300, Kisasa in Dodoma city, missing an arm and private parts.
The Dodoma Regional Police Commander, Theopista Mallya, stated that the incident occurred on Wednesday night at House 300 in Kisasa, Dodoma.
“Yesterday, a police officer in the area saw a dog with something, which prompted him to approach and see the child. He reported it to the police who then went to the scene and took the child to the hospital,” she said.
She mentioned that at this moment, they cannot confirm whether the child was murdered or otherwise until the investigation is complete.
“I cannot say he was murdered until we complete the investigation, including the circumstances of the incident, such as how he left home,” said the commander.
According to various sources from the area, the child went missing yesterday at 6:00 PM but was found at 10:00 PM, missing an arm and private parts, in the House 300 area of Kisasa, Dodoma city.
Commander Theopista stated that the child’s body is being preserved at the Dodoma Regional Referral Hospital.13:41
