In response to the ongoing power rationing issue in the country, President Samia has made a significant move by appointing Dr. James Peter Mataragio as the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, replacing Athumani Selemani Mbuttuka, whose appointment has been revoked, and he will be assigned other duties.
A statement from the Directorate of Presidential Communications, State House, stated that Dr. Mataragio previously served as the Director General of the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation.
