At a public rally on Sunday, Ambassador Dr. Nchimbi placed a live phone call to the Minister for Water, Jumaa Aweso, who assured the large gathering that the funds would be released on the same day.
“Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan has already issued a directive insisting that as a mother, she does not want to see her people continuing to suffer,” said Mr Awesso. He added: “On Monday (today), I will issue a directive to the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Water to ensure that the money is released immediately tomorrow (today).”
Mr. Awesso emphasized that as leaders in the Ministry, they are committed to overcoming challenges impacting Tanzanians. Dr. Nchimbi also highlighted that Rukwa Region is one of the top food-producing regions supporting both the nation and neighboring countries.
In line with this, the CCM Secretary General affirmed that the ruling party would ensure the availability of essential social services in the region and across the country.
“CCM is very committed to helping all citizens because our party has always been concerned with peoples’ problems,” he added.
Dr. Nchimbi commenced his tour of six regions at the end of the week, accompanied by CCM’s Ideology, Publicity, and Training Secretary, Amos Makalla, and Organization Secretary, Issa Gavu. In Rukwa Region, Dr. Nchimbi and his team initiated their tour in Nkasi District.
He is set to continue touring the region, inspecting the advancement of the Rukwa airport construction. Furthermore, he will proceed with a 10-day working tour of Songwe, Mbeya, Njombe, and Songea.
