The Africa Games (All African Games 2023) were officially launched on March 8, 2024, in Accra, Ghana, under the leadership of President Akufo Addo, with athletes from 54 nations including Tanzania participating, accompanied by parades and various entertainment.
The games are expected to have over 8000 participants including players, officials, team doctors, and spectators, with various sports expected to be played in different venues from March 8 to 23, 2024.
In these games, the Deputy Minister of Culture, Arts, and Sports, Hon. Hamis Mwinjuma, led the team of athletes from Tanzania who will compete against players from other nations in Women’s Cricket, Women’s Under-20 Soccer, Judo, Athletics, Cycling, and Swimming.
