Notably, he advocated for the candidacy of Dr. Faustine Ndugulile for Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) – Africa. Furthermore, he requested backing for Tanzania’s bids for seats on the United Nations Human Rights Council for the 2026-2028 term and the United Nations Security Council for the 2029-2030 term.
These diplomatic moves are part of Tanzania’s broader strategy to elevate its influence on the international stage, leveraging its leadership in regional matters to garner support for global roles.
