The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has taken a significant step in safeguarding the interests of its employees’ families by making a firm commitment to ensure that their marriages are protected and valued in the workplace environment.

This move comes in response to appeals from members of parliament who have been advocating for concrete measures to ensure the well-being of public servants’ families.

Speaking in Dodoma, the Minister of State in the Office of the President, Public Service Management and Good Governance, Hon. George Simbachawene, reiterated the government’s commitment to implementing this initiative within the current fiscal year.emphasized that every married employee will be given the opportunity to be transferred to a work location where they can work closely with their spouse. This is aimed at ensuring that the spouses of these employees are not separated while performing their duties.

According to Simbachawene, this measure aims to strengthen the stability and resilience of public servants’ families, which contributes to enhancing work performance and productivity.
