Several individuals are feared dead and others have sustained injuries following the collapse of a four-storey building in the Mchikichi and Manyema area of Kariakoo, Dar es Salaam.
The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, prompting immediate concern from local residents and authorities.
Emergency services, including the fire and rescue brigade, quickly arrived at the scene to initiate a rescue operation. Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud rumble before the building crumbled, sending debris cascading onto the streets below. Rescue teams are currently working tirelessly to search for survivors amid the rubble, using heavy machinery to carefully remove debris while ensuring the safety of those involved in the operation.
