The Tanzania Meteorological Agency (TMA) has issued a comprehensive five-day weather forecast, warning of adverse weather conditions including strong winds, high waves, and heavy rainfall that are expected to impact various regions of the country.
This forecast comes in the wake of recent flooding crises that have plagued Tanzania, highlighting the importance of preparedness and vigilance in the face of natural disasters.
Coastal areas are particularly at risk, with the potential for flooding and disruptions to key economic activities such as fishing and maritime transport. The forecast, effective from today, April 16, underscores the likelihood of strong winds exceeding 40 kilometers per hour and waves exceeding two meters along the Indian Ocean coast.
